This program has designed to produce experts who:

• Knowledgeable and competent in carrying out investigations in Islamic studies in a scientific, critical, authoritative and practical manner.

• Strive to convey the results of studies and exhibit competent interpersonal communication skills through investigations, trials and scientific publications.

• Able to carry out academic and social responsibilities professionally and ethically in solving issues related to Islamic studies.

The areas of this program include all of the disciplines of Islamic Studies such as Sharia, Usuluddin, Tafsir, Hadith, Tahfiz & Qira’at, Da'wah and Arabic Language.

• A master’s degree in the field or related fields accepted by the HEP Senate; or

• Other qualifications equivalent to a master’s degree recognised by the Government of Malaysia.

Candidates without a related qualification in the field/s or working experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the HEP.

• As the above requirements; and

• Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) 550; or

• International English Language Testing (IELTS) 5.0

• Eligible to hold the highest professional positions such as chief director, director, deputy director, lecturer, research fellow, dean, deputy dean, professor and associate professor.
