Programme Backgroundtitle bottom left g 4

The programme is designed to meet the needs of the computer network technology workforce in various sectors and industries. The program covers theoretical and practical aspects individually and in groups that are reinforced by an appreciation of ethics and manners. To produce graduates who have Islamic ethics and manners, have integrity, display Islamic values and kindness in their work.

Admission Requirementstitle bottom left g 4
Malaysian Students
  1. Passed STPM or equivalent with at least grade C, Subject Grade Value (NGMP) 2.00 in any two (2) subjects; OR

  2. Pass STAM at least with Jayyid rank in any two (2) subjects; OR

  3. Pass the Matriculation/ Foundation/ Foundation program with at least a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00; OR

  4. Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in non-Computer field with at least CGPA 2.75. Candidates with a CGPA below 2.75 but above 2.50 may be admitted subject to a rigorous comprehensive assessment;

    AND
    credit in:

    • Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent; OR

    • Candidates who only passed in Mathematics subjects at SPM level need to take and pass reinforcement Mathematics subjects equivalent to SPM level. Consolidation Mathematics subjects must be offered in the first semester or before registration with an unconditional offer.

    OR

  5. Diploma in Computing (Level 4, MQF) or equivalent, by obtaining at least CGPA 2.50 and honors in Mathematics at SPM level.Candidates with a CGPA below 2.50 but above 2.00 are subject to a comprehensive rigorous assessment; OR

  6. Malaysian Skills Diploma (DKM) / Malaysian Vocational Diploma (DVM) in the field of Computing with at least CGPA of 2.50 subject to the approval of the Senate / Academic Board of PPT;  OR

  7. Malaysian Advanced Skills Diploma (DLKM) in the field of Computing with at least CGPA 2.50 subject to the approval of the Senate / PPT Academic Board; OR

  8. Other relevant and equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government. (Candidates can be admitted if their admission qualifications contain a Mathematics subject equivalent to Mathematics at SPM level. If not equivalent, a reinforcement Mathematics subject equivalent to SPM level must be offered in the first semester or before registration with an unconditional offer).

Note :

  • Students are required to pass the reinforcement Mathematics subject before being allowed to follow the related core course.

  • Candidates can take any subject that does not show Mathematics as a prerequisite.

  • Consolidation Mathematics subjects may contribute to overall graduate credit.

  • Matriculation / Foundation students or its equivalent can be exempted from taking reinforcement Mathematics, provided that the Mathematics subjects offered at the program level are equivalent / more than the Additional Mathematics subjects offered at the SPM level.

International Students
  • Achieve a minimum score of 5.0 in IELTS or equivalent. If the student does not meet these requirements, the HEP must offer an English language proficiency course to ensure that the student's proficiency is sufficient to meet the program requirements.
