PThe Bachelor Shariah with Muamalat Programme in KUIS has been established as major-minor programme by combining Shariah with muamalat which is thoroughly focusing on the body of Shariah knowledge and embedded with basic fundamental of Islamic economics, Islamic banking and finance, Islamic wealth management, takaful and risk management, Islamic money and capital market, Shariah issues in muamalat and the other topics related to Shariah and Muamalat. This programme has successfully obtained full accreditation from Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) since 2020. Graduates of this programme are expected to master the theoretical knowledge of Shariah and Muamalat through content of turath text. Additionally, the graduates should be able to demonstrate the skills to propose solutions for contemporary shariah and muamalat issues. They are not only master in Shariah and Muamalat knowledge but also demonstrate the excellent skills of leadership, entrepreneurship, career and success in their daily life.
Admission Requirements
Malaysian Students
Pass in STPM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00 and at least TWO full passes, one of which is in a subject related to Islamic Studies. OR
A pass in a qualification equivalent to STPM such as A levels, provided that the candidate passes at least one Islamic Studies subject in that qualification. OR
A recognised Matriculation or Foundation qualification in Islamic Studies with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00. OR
Pass with overall grade of maqbūl in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM). OR
A recognised Diploma in Islamic Studies or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00.
International Students
Pass with a minimum overall score of 550 in Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) OR overall score of 5.5 in International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or equivalent.
Career Prospect
The Bachelor of Shariah with Muamalat Programme will produce graduates with a strong base in the Syariah and Muamalat studies. These graduates will have the opportunity to work in both private and public institutions which are operated by Islamic management oriented, Islamic Financial institutions and investment company.
