Programme Background
|
The curriculum of the Communication program has been formulated based on a holistic approach to generate individuals who are balanced and have strong skills in communication and broadcasting, in addition to being knowledgeable and skilled in various disciplines of knowledge.
In the first semester, students are given a general education as a basis and background to understand the course further. Students will make a specialization in a chosen discipline through the second semester.
Students will take courses from the following three categories:
- University General Courses
- Core Courses (major)
- Elective Courses
Admission Requirements

Passed Matriculation/Foundation or equivalent, at least CGPA 2.00 and Language honors English SPM level; or

STPM with at least a full pass of 2 subjects and English honors SPM level; or

Passed a Diploma in a recognized field and an honors degree in English at SPM level; or
-
Passed a Diploma in Media and Communication or its equivalent; or
-
Pass STAM with at least Jayyid grade and credit in English at SPM level
- International students are required to achieve a minimum score of 5.0 for International Language Testing System (IELTS) OR 500 for Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) OR band 3 for Malaysia University English Test (MUET).

Journalist in magazine, newspaper, television and Internet, Assistant Editor, Copy Writer, Script Writer and Public Relation Officer and other relevant management positions
